Functions and Weddings

The restarant offers an ideal function room we can cater for apx 60 all seating or 120 for a function such as a buffet where guest are not required to sit. It is a beautiful setting for a small intimate wedding as the restaurant has access via a flowered courtyard to the extensive gardens. We will endeavour to cater for special events exactly as our guests would like it.

Sunday Lunch

Our Sunday lunch is very popular, last year we recieved 17/20 in the Sunday Sun newspaper. Meats are sourced locally to ensure your roast taste excellent. You will also find a good selection of fish dishes as well as other meat and vegetarian dishes.

Local food from local suppliers

We are committed to using local produce where possible, and we try to source our products from other small local businesses rather than big multinationals. As a result we feel we can offer higher quality products to our guests. During your stay with us you will be able to sample some of Northumberlands best foods and ales. We offer Craster kippers and fish from Robsons, all our meat comes from R N Cowell in Bedlington and he supplies meat from Northumberland. If you like fresh lobster our local fisherman provides us straight from the boat however we do not always have this on the menu, so let us know and we will provide it for you.

Good Real Ale

We pride ourselves on our cask conditioned ales and we always have a good selection from our local micro breweries including Mordue, Wylam and Derwent as well as old favorites such as black sheep bitter, we are recommended in the good beer guide

Food Allergies

Our chefs understand that there are increasing numbers of people with specific dietay requirments so if there are foods that you can not eat just let us know and we will endeavour to suit your individual needs (we even do gluten free fish and chips).

We will happily keep food items in our fridge for you if needed
