Functions and Weddings

The restaurant offers an ideal function room we can cater for approximately 55 all seated or 120 for a function such as a buffet where guests are not required to sit. It is a beautiful setting for a small intimate wedding as the restaurant has access via a flowered courtyard to the extensive gardens. We will endeavour to cater for special events exactly as our guests would like it.

Sunday Lunch

Our Sunday lunch is proving very popular since our re-opening in May 2011. Meats are sourced locally to ensure your roast tastes excellent. You will also find a good selection of fish dishes and vegetarian dishes.

Local food from local suppliers

We are committed to using local produce where possible, and we try to source our products from other small local businesses rather than big multinationals. As a result we feel we can offer higher quality products to our guests. During your stay with us you will be able to sample some of Northumberland’s best foods and ales. We offer Craster kippers and fish from Robsons, all our meat comes from Northumberland and our ice creams and cheeses are supplied by Doddington’s of Wooler.

Good Real Ale

We pride ourselves on our cask conditioned ales and we always have a good selection from our local micro-breweries including Hadrian & Border, Wylam and Scottish Borders Brewery, we are recommended in the good beer guide

Food Allergies

Our chefs understand that there are increasing numbers of people with specific dietary requirements so if there are foods that you cannot eat just let us know and we will endeavour to suit your individual needs.

We will happily keep food items in our fridge for you if needed

Meal Times

You can enjoy your meal in the bar, patio or the conservatory which leads onto our extensive garden and grounds

Food served all day during the summer (end May - end Oct)

November to April: noon until 3.00pm and 6.00 until 9.00pm
